In 1943 another legendary C-47A / DC-3 with the serial number 42-92157 was built in the facilities of Douglas. In the upcoming years, the aircraft entered service for many Air Forces. In 1943 the aircraft firstly entered service for the United States Army, was then transferred to the Royal Air Force, and later on to the South African Air Force. Between 1950 and 2014 the aircraft was privately owned in South Africa and was painted in the “Springbok Classics” scheme. In 2015 the aircraft was brought to Germany, re-painted into an ex-Aer Lingus livery with Olive Air titles, and was bought by Michael Manousakis in 2020. Nowadays the aircraft is flown by Michael Manousakis and his great Morlock Motors Crew.
